The last tram
1958
On September 30th, 1958, trams were officially replaced by buses.The replacement ceremony took place at the Liberty Square.There were two tram lines: Line 1 (White Line) ran from the Futog Gate to the Temerin Street. This route ran through the Temerin Street, passing by the Bishop's palace, through the city centre, towards the Iodine Spa to the city hospital where was its terminus.Line 2 (Green Line) ran from the former location of the railway station to the end of the Danube Street.
