Postcard captioned in German inside a decorative banner as Luftkurort Kamanitz. A Danube paddle steamer lies mid-river off the village and its church tower.
About this place
A settlement on the Fruska Gora side of the Danube, upstream of Petrovaradin and now part of Novi Sad. Cards sell it as Luftkurort Kamenitz, an air resort, and it was reached from the town by steamer. The imperial and royal infantry cadet school stood here, and the Serbian Orthodox church appears on cards captioned Kamenica in Serbian, Kamanc in Hungarian and Kamenitz in German.
